I have natural never-colored red hair and was looking to boost my vibrancy. I've tried clear glosses in the past (at-home products and in-salon treatments) with zero noticeable results.
I have used the copper tint rinse 2x in the past week and see a bit of 'brightness' in my natural red color in my bangs where my hair is thinner and straighter. The body of my hair, which is thick and wavy, doesn't seem to be taking up the product as well. May try leaving on for more than the recommended 3 minutes to see if I can get more shine.
Of note, the first tube I received exploded when opened as there was a hole in the top seam. eSalon sent out a replacement product ASAP.

I was using a toner for brunettes which was amazing and a godsend because dark hair toners are hard to come by! but it was discontinued. So when I came across this I so badly wanted it to work. But no matter how much I put on or how long I leave it on, it will not kick the warmth out of my hair. I does leave my hair feeling lovely and soft though, so extra star for that

Seemed to dry out my hair and I did not notice extra shine as it claims. It did neutralize the brassy tones in my hair. I will continue to try it and make sure to deep condition after use.

I was really excited and anxious to use this. About a week ago, my hairdresser put a level 7 “cool” color over my bleached highlights/level 7 ash hair. I panicked when I seen the red tint in the chair. She assured me it was not red. Generally it take me about 4 days to actually like the color job. But it just kept getting redder and redder. So I researched how to get it out of my hair and came acrossed a you tube video that recommends the tint rinse.
Well, those highlights are now green because of this product. I have used it twice. But now I have strange green in my hair. And the red tint on my roots is still pretty prominent.

So, I just went red for the first time in my 37 years. I had it professionally colored, but as we all know (now)...red fades. This copper seemed very close to my fabulously faded new do. It’s actually MUCH more orangey copper than I expected. I also applied it as directed, and ended up with orange down to my ears and very little color beyond that. It lathers FABULOUSLY so I expected much better/more even coverage. I’m going to give it one more shot, but I will be applying it with a brush a la home coloring style... and definitely avoiding my new hot roots. I think it has potential.

So... I have had a nightmare of a time with this product. Initially, I looked like a patchy Weasley. After washing with a harsh dandruff shampoo about 4 times (in one go... I was desperate), I was left with a shadow of my former strawberry blonde glory and PINK streaks and splotches. At this point, I had to stop or call out sick for my third shift nursing job. Sadly, sick leave almost won... as I truly was nauseous at the thought of my coworkers seeing me like this. I have once again washed with the heavy duty dandruff shampoo mixed with baking soda and am now hunkering down for a long night with lemon juice and conditioner burning my scalp under a shower cap. I have no hope of seeing my beautiful albeit slightly faded, month old, salon perfected, strawberry blonde ever again. I had also purchased this tint in red. I will absolutely not be trying it.

I was really hyped up about this product. I had a natural auburn color and i use esalon custom color on my hair. I ordered this to try to brighten up the oranges in my and in some places i feel it looks great in others i i have pink streaks. Not many but a few to make me scared to use it again. My hair is also long, to my bra strap so maybe I should have did it into sections? It wasnt supper runny nor did it stain my shower and hands though like some reviewers have said.

I rarely ever online shop but when I was desperate to look for a solution to my hairs red and brassy color I stumbled upon this gem. I was beyond excited and every YouTube tutorial (except for one) raves about it. I decided to give it a go, and I was so disappointed with my results. I did exactly as instructed and it’s as if I didn’t even touch my hair with product. It looks just as it did before. Not only that is has a coppery smell well after my shower. Packaging was cute but that’s as far as it goes. Which stinks because I would have loved to be a returning customer

I thought using this product it would help maintain the richness of my colour. All I noticed was that it enhanced the brassiness in my hair and did not leave any kind of richness or luster - would not call this a toner or anything of that sort.

I was excited when I found this because I hate how certain spots in my hair have become sun bleached and turned red. I have medium to light brown hair with blonde ends that is fine and past my shoulders. I tried this last night and worked it all throughout my hair and left it on for several minutes. here i am now with dry hair that is still as red as ever(even my blonde ends show no sign of using this!), but now my hair is dried out because I left shampoo in my hair for 5 min. now I'm out money and have dry hair with tones I don't like. so disappointed. I would like to return this or exchange for the other red neutralizer, but I have doubts that that one will work since this one didn't even show up on blonde hair.

When I tried a couple times to use this as the instructed, it did NOTHING for my color. So I experimented! Mixing the Tint Rinse with water (1:1) in a hair color application bottle, applying the mixture to DRY hair and leaving on for 30 mins to 1 hour works perfect for me. I use the blonde shade on my fringe and crown hight-lighted areas and lighter ends and this brunette shade on my darker roots and back of my head.
This is a fantastic product! What's the deal eSalon - its been out of stock for MONTHS. Please get it back in stock, or if its discontinued and not coming back just say so.
I have used this rinse since 2014 and LOVE LOVE it! It is my MUST have a few weeks after I color because it keeps my hair vibrant. Sadly, it has been missing in my last 2 orders and I am getting worried…..11 years of use is a long time and I don’t even know where to look for a copper color replacement.
I really like the Tint Rinse. While i don’t notice that it adds any “color” to my hair I do notice that it makes my hair feel softer and the ends are nicer

I’ve struggle with red tones forever … this does work! Leaves my hair very soft and smells very good. Although is not a permanent effect , if you include it in your weekly routine your hair will not have as much red tones.

I dont especially notice the color-depositing aspect of this product, but...IT SMELLS AMAZING. What is this scent? It makes me think of strawberry lemonade and summertime
My hair always looks amazing when first coloured, but then after a few washes it starts to look dull. This tint rinse brings life back to my hair and the shine is amazing! I had the copper tint before and it made my medium brown hair way too orangey/red. This tint has a very subtle red tint to it and looks like I had my hair freshly coloured.

I have only been using a semi permanent color on my hair which does not do much for my grays. I love this tint rinse. I use it two to three times a week along with Batiste dry shampoo in blond and it works great! It tends to highlight some of my strands and I love that. I also have the copper color and will blend the two in between the blond uses. It makes it a more strawberry. The copper color by itself made my hair pink. Unfortunately I’m a bit too old to have pink hair now ha ha at least that’s according to my 11 year old.

I’ve been a faux ginger and loving it for a few months now, and I’ve noticed lately that my color has begun to fade in between dyeing, leaving me a kind of strawberry blond, which isn’t quite what I’m going for. Without the fading I look like a very natural redhead which I love, and I’d hoped this rinse would boost the red between dyeing but still keep the undetectability of my normal dye. The color is definitely brighter; but the slight sparkle this adds makes my hair look just a little unnatural. I do like this product in general, though; it’s better than leaving my hair be between dyeing, even if it is’t exactly what I want.

This one isn't as pigmented it seems as the red but it adds a lot of shine! I use a little of this and a little of red together and I use it on my hair dry before showering. Then I rise & shampoo/condition. The combo works fab! I wish the copper itself made more of a difference in adding extra color although the shine i get from it is great!
To be honest, I'm not sure if this worked or not. I'm not sure if it's supposed to make your hair more vibrant and shine for a day or if it's supposed to last longer than that. My hair looks pretty great today, so it may because of that. It's worth a try.
Being a redhead, its hard to keep color going, especially in summer season where I am in water a lot more. So I never skip using this in the shower after shampooing. I might be not getting the softest hair, but my color stays consistent, for the most part. Swimming challenges a lot of these products.
I've been using a basic light golden brown but with enhanced golden brown with red highlights but it ends up quickly getting brassy within a week although I do not wash my hair more than once a week. This tones down the brassiness.
