I had high hopesI’d heard such wonderful things about esalon, yet after numerous emails, me sending in notes with pictures, color adjustments and a long phone call, I still end up with rust orange roots every time, and I’ve had to purchase many of esalon’s tint rinses and toning masks each time. I made it clear from the beginning I was used to going to the salon and knew nothing about hair, but I needed to cover my regrowth once COVID-19 arrived. My natural hair color was coming in with greys, and since I knew I couldn’t learn to do highlights🤪, I was just trying to touch up the roots and grow out my highlights. Yet every time I follow the instructions and get carrot like roots. The response from esalon has just been another color adjustment each time with no explanation or effort to fix things. The toning mask won’t even help. I have no confidence in trying the next color adjustment from them. I’m really sad because my hair looks awful and I feel self-conscious, plus disappointment that I’ve spent a significant amount of money on this. Great colour & contentsI really liked the colour. I also really liked the smell of the conditioner which is a plus but the condition of hair afterwards didn't feel as nice as previous box dyes i've used. I would like to continue but feel for the price and considering i have long thick hair i would want/need two lots of the colour everytime not just the first time 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Doesn’t cover grays wellI paid special attention to the grays that frame my face. After coloring I still had grays popping through. After a couple washings, more gray was visible. I’ve had better luck with $3 box at drugstore. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Color barely changedI have the darkest brown hair and wanted to make my hair color lighter to the medium brown. Unfortunately, after the following the instructions exactly as is, my hair color barely changed. It is only very slightly lighter than my original color and you can only see it in the light. People don't even know I dyed my hair. I am quite disappointed with the color result. Best hair color everI have tried many hair colors, from salons to boxes. My hair is a hard match, it’s golden copper, if I would do drugstore colors I would have to mix two colors. I always want to stick as close to my natural color as possible to cover the grays around my temples and hairline. This color is awesome! It matches perfectly and doesn’t darken over time. It’s gentle on my hair and the color is always consistent! I can’t afford to go to a salon every month, nor do I have the desire to.
