Customer ServiceSo I am a natural blonde level 9, the color I used to wasn't exactly what I was looking for however still a nice color. BUT when I called customer service I don't remember her name (Dang it!) but she was fabulous we ended up changing what I'll get in the future did it free of charge and explained hair language to me without making me feel stupid. Here's the specificsShame on me, I seldom write reviews but always read them. I particularly like those that have specifics. Here are mine: 1. It took a couple of times to get the color just right, but that speaks to the true customization of the product versus buying something off the shelf. I was never able to get that just right. 2. I think women must have designed the program, instructions, packaging, etc. (pardon the gender bias), but it's absolutely perfect. I can't think of a thing to change - it's all so well thought through and customized to you. 3. I use the highlighting product in addition to the color. The toner mask that comes with the highlighting kit is AWESOME - it does something to my hair that seems to add volume and texture. It's meant to even the tone of the hair and does that as well. You can buy this product separate if you don't use highlighting - I've done that for in between times. 4. I bought the shampoo only once so can't speak to it as much. I thought it was ok but was really hard to pump in the shower. Overall, I am super happy with the website, the product, the scheduling, the customization and the service. Color was fineI got a really short haircut and when I applied the color set it did come out a lot darker. I expected it since my hair is really short and more grey was visible plus Esalon had warned me that it would be darker so no surprise there. I ended up doing a lot more root work then normal so of course the hair color came out darker. I think next time I want it to be a tad lighter if I am going to keep my hair that short! It really made the Light kit come out which made up for it! I applied it two weeks after I did the color. Not a fan of the new hair color formulaI’ve used esalon to color my hair for years and have always been happy with the outcome, especially how soft, silky, and shiny my hair is afterwards. The new formula leaves my hair feeling rough, without the silliness and shine I’ve come to expect. I’m sorry to say this may be a deal breaker for me. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Nice smell, easy on hair.I really liked this product. Usually, the fumes from the dye and the very perfumed shampoo and conditioner really bother my eye and nasal allergies. I didn't have this issue with this at all. Very mild smell during the coloring process and really enjoyed the light fragrance in the shampoo and conditioner. The only thing I don't like is it was hard to see what color I was getting. I spoke with the stylist about adding more golden tone to an existing shade but couldn't really see what the result would be. I would have wanted much more golden tone than what I got. Not anyone's fault really but being able to see an estimate of what your specialty color will look like ahead of ordering would be great. I told the colorist that I wanted more golden tone and she very nicely said she would fix it for next time. I just would have liked to have had the color I wanted this time. A picture might have helped me and the colorist come to the correct color decision the first coloring verses the second. Fantastic color!Because of the pandemic, I went over 6 months without coloring my hair. After that time, I had 2-3 inches of gray/WHITE(!) roots. After all that time I still didn't (and don't) feel safe going back to my regular hair stylist, but I had to do SOMETHING about these roots, so I started to look for alternatives for me to color my hair safely at home. Knowing that store-bought 'box' hair color could ruin my hair, I took a long time to decide which "more professional" product to use. After weeks of research, I decided to give eSalon a try. I received the hair color set in the mail, but it had sit in my mailbox (late email from the post office) for over an hour, when the temperature was a record 106 degrees(!) outside. I called eSalon to ask if the chemicals were still safe to use, and they immediately sent another hair color set to me (no charge!). Great customer service! I am SOOO happy I used eSalon! Not only are the awful roots COMPLETELY gone, but the color eSalon created (using their initial website questionnaire + my uploaded picture + the formula my hair stylist used) was an absolutely EXACT match for what my hair stylist used to do. I was hoping for anything close, and was absolutely wowed at how good my hair color was, and how good the condition of my hair was afterward! I followed the instructions exactly (as many people recommended) and took my time, and the results were great! I'm about to try my second color treatment - delivered to my front door! - from eSalon later this week, and I am confidently looking forward to how good it will look after my initial color treatment. I will continue with eSalon as long as I don't feel safe during this pandemic - which won't be for a very long time the way things are going now. Not only does my color look great, but eSalon maybe saved my life! since they made it so that I don't have to interact with others who might be contagious. Great productI like this color bcz it covered my gray very well but if there were 1 thing I would change out would ne the way the shampoo and conditioner smell, it does not smell very good but besides that i love this color 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
