My Custom ColorMy “Custom Color” you prepared for me did Not take on my grey in front of my temples and ears. Your mix also burned my eyes. I use Schwarzkopf and it covers Wonderfully and does Not burn my eyes. Felt like I was cheating on my hairdresserI love my hairdresser and have been her client for 30+ years, but the last few years I noticed the price going up small amounts each time. I was on the internet and an ad came up for esalon, I found it very interesting and had to research more. As much as I loved everything about esalon I was still nervous and went back to my stylist. Then Corona happened so I thought what a perfect time to try, and my hair really needed doing. I should mention I haven't colored my hair in 4 months. It was easy to order and fun. When it arrived it came in a cute box and the bottles had my name on them. The instructions were easy to follow and came with a sticker to hang on the mirror. The dye went on very easy and smelled just like the salon. The toner blended the roots with the ends and did a terrific job. The kit comes with 2 little packets of shampoo and conditioner, the shampoo was fabulous I never had a shampoo that had so much lather, the conditioner was just ok. Perfect color!Using this custom color was a new experience but the results were worth it. I just wish the grey around my face had held color a little longer - just two weeks after coloring the grey is showing through at my temples. But the color is exactly what I was hoping for, its rich, has depth and my hair feels wonderful! I love that the color does not wash away with each shampoo. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. More gray coverageI would first recommend ordering your color a couple weeks before you want to color your hair. It took longer than expected getting my color. The root coverage I would give it a fair as I still had grey showing after I was done coloring my hair. The root color was not close to what I wanted. Love this colorThe color turned out great. When applied it looked very red, but turned out perfectly. My old color just looked black. The smell was bad, like pure chemicals. Hair still smells like chemicals after washing. I also have sensitive scalp and this burned while on. The place I normally buy my color from has a additive for sensitive scalps and it works great, hopefully they will be open next time I color. Absolutely Loved It!For years, I've really struggled to find the perfect shade for my hair. It is jet black (I'm Asian) and even if I just want to get some nice dark or medium shades of brown, it's either doesn't lift - or it turns into a very yukky orange. Even going to the hair salons, they just point blank say it's not possible and in all honestly, I've always turned away unhappy. Especially, as I have greys - so whether it's the shop brand or hair salons, I have to use a very darker shade to ensure coverage. A friend of mine recommended eSalon! Not only was the whole purchasing experience an absolute joy - with such each, but the box, the items, the instructions were so easy to follow. Most importantly - the hair colour was fantastic!
