Just like at the salon. Did not damage my hair.I really did not want to buy hair color at the grocery store, so I took a chance with eSalon. Besides, most of the stores were out of hair color due to the pandemic. The color was perfect, and the set included almost everything I needed to properly color my hair as in a salon. It was a quite generous portion, enough if you wanted to color your entire long hair. Game ChangerSince all salons in my area were closed due to Covid-19 and it was already well over 3 months since my last visit to the salon, I was desperate to do something about my grey regrowth. I have followed Silvia Reis on Instagram and YouTube for years and saw her recommendation for Esalon. I totally trust her as a stylist so I went for it and I was super blown away with the entire process online as well as with the kit I received. The questionnaire is so easy to follow and the color selection is great and easy to understand. I also love that I was able to send my concerns about my hair as well as photos to an actual certified stylist. I received my kit just a couple of days after placing my order which was a huge bonus since getting into my stylist usually takes a few weeks. The packaging was very nice and Esalon seriously thought of everything. It came with the dye and developer for my roots, the dye and developer for my ends, a brush, two sets of gloves, dye remover, skin protector, shampoo and conditioner and even came with a little sticker to stick the directions up on your mirror. The steps were super easy to follow and it was a quick and easy process. My hair came out so beautiful and shiny and my hair feels amazing. I received salon quality color in the comfort of my own home for a fraction of the cost. I try to go 8 weeks between visits to the salon because I can’t afford to spend that much money every 4-6 weeks. I usually end up walking around with an inch or two of grey regrowth for a few weeks but now I can afford to do my roots every 4 weeks. Another plus for me was being able to dry and style my own hair after I was done. I always come home from the salon and restyle my hair because I am particular about how I fix it. Impeccable!Presentation is myth e.g., the box with instructions, and the neat idea to provide an adhesive circle to tape the instructions to the mirror for quick reference... Brilliant. But the proof is in the pudding -- if you will. Honestly, I don't think I will need to pay a colorist to mix and color my hair! I ordered it and colored my hair myself -- because I had to during the pandemic. eSalon has been a silver lining. What a gift, what a vain lifesaver, what an affirmation. Good start with some complicationsThe pack contains well written instruction, gloves, shampoo and conditioner, stain protector, stain remover and enough product. I was surprised that there was no brush. Considering that other necessary items were provided and well though of, I did not expect that and maybe it was my first ever application, I had no own brush. It made my life really complicated and in the lock down it is not easy to get hold of a brush! I hope my next time will be easier.
